in linux how to pick user and passwd when login appers?

Hi,

I have a situvation that,when login happenig have pick userid and passwd ,

if any body knows please help?

I think that you need to choose a user ID- like perhaps your first name for now- and define a password- at least 8 characters with upper and lower case and special characters.

Is this a fresh installation of Linux? i.e. are you in the middle of installing it and you'd like suggestions on naming standards and password policies?
or
Are you trying to access a linux system that you have no username, password nor authorised access for?

the keyboard and type in your username then hit enter and type in password and hit enter.
