Inactive My Computer Becomes Active

By russellrl2 ·
The user double clicks on My Computer and clicks through to the office document they want and double clicks to open it. The office document opens as expected. The first time they click on the office document (which is the active window), My Computer(which is in the background) pops forward to be the active window. I'm baffled.

I'm baffled, too, because you haven't given us any information to work with. We need to know - OS and version; what version of Office/Word you're running; does this happen with all Office applications or just a specific one; is there anything non-standard about the hardware, esp. peripherals like mouse and keyboard. All these things could have an impact on the problem and solution.
