incoming email blocking

By vicent76 ·

Currently we are using Cobalt Qube 3 server as our email server. In order to allow our internal email user to send email to a group of users or department we use aliases (/etc/mail/aliases). example
HR is the group name for all HR email user. If i wanted to send and email to HR department i just need to type HR@mydomain.

The problem is, suppose this group ID only can be use internally but somehow external email also can send mail to this grouping ID. We only wanted this grouping ID (aliases) to be available for internal use and can't receive any mail from external email domain. What can i do to control this.

It depends,

First question, what mailer are you using
exim, postfix all have ways (or use external
filters) to filter mail on certain conditions.
One of those conditions can be to reject mails
sent to certain blacklisted addresses.

Good luck
For a better answer you probably need to
investigate documentation of the mailer you are
