Hello all,
I have recently created an internal domain on Windows Server 2003 which is meant as an easy way of connecting to our internal websites.
Everything is working fine with one exception, sometimes the domain will resolve normally, other times it won’t.
I have my preferred DNS server set to our internal DNS Server yet on some occassions it appears it it not being used to resolve the domain.
I have used the nslookup utility to directly resolve the domain without any trouble, I have noticed that it switches between our internal DNS Server and that of our ISP as the default, it does this seemingly randomly.
I guess my main question is how do I force
Windows (Vista Business by the way) to always use our internal DNS Server? I thought thats what the Preferred DNS Server setting would have done…..
