Increasing Disk Quotas

I want to increase the disk quota for a user on a windows 2000 server platform. In the disk quota management window i increased the size of the users quota. However when the user logs on their quota has not increased. Is there a reason why this users quota is not updating? I have tried increasing quota sizes for other users and they update without a hitch.
