increasing maximum registry size

By benlizama ·
Just upgraded my w2k to use sp4. After successful installation, i got a message saying that my maximum registry size is too low and need to increase it to make sure the system runs well. How do I increase the maximum registry size?

On the MY Computer icon - right click and select properties, advanced tab, then select the performance button.

Under Virtual memory press change, alter the values for initail and maximum then pres set

Go to control panel. double click system. Click on advanced tab, click performance options, click change, increase your registry size. The current registry size is show. Your new registry size should be 1.2-1.5 times greater thatn your current size. This allows for installation of new programs etc. Without having registry error. when finished click ok on all windows until you are returned to control panel.
