I have been asked to look at the possibility of using a Storage Area Network at the school where I work. I would like information on when this type of storage becomes helpful; What are some real-life pros and cons to this; How do I determine if my school needs it? Any input is appreciated.

There is a very good article in the latest issue of Windows2000 Magazine that discusses Storage options including SAN’s.

Also, I work for Unisys nad although I am not in your area visit our web site at Unisys.com. One of our specialties is SAN consulting and we have some very good SAN articles on our site.
