I am looking for Management Systems for a small sized educational institution. It must cover the registration, student records management and more. Any advice as to example software that can be used?

SCT Banner

by djames In reply to Information Management Sy ...

We are a small to mid sized two year college. We have been on the SCT Banner system for about 4 years. Using Oracle databases, the system has multiple modules designed to perform registration, student information, etc. There are also modules for fixed assets, finance, etc. As with any new implementation, we experienced growing pains and user anxiety. However, this product does seem to meet our needs well. I would be happy to discuss with you or provide additional info. Good luck

Try Serenic - Navigator

by muzzydawg In reply to Information Management Sy ...

If your organization is a Not-For-Profit then try Navigator by Serenic.

Serenic Navigator, powered by Microsoft Navision, is the leading integrated solution for not-for-profits. In Navigator, Serenic Corporation has created the best combination of advanced technology and fund accounting features available for the NFP community. As a fully integrated solution, Navigator offers core financials plus a comprehensive suite of ERP applications, thereby removing the need to add third-party applications and making you immediately more productive.

With its high-performance client/server technology and "enterprise" functionality for not-for-profit organizations, Serenic Navigator allows you to focus on fulfilling your organization's mission instead of dwelling on your system's reliability.

Navigator allows you to:

1. Automatically balance funds and fund classes
2. Increase the efficiency of your procurement functions
3. Have instant access to critical financial data across any time frame
4. Eliminate tedious and expensive paper-based approvals
5. Proactively track expenditures against user-defined budget rules
6. Allocate expenses in real-time to increase the accuracy of data
7. Manage relationships and transactions with donors and members
8. Empower non-accounting users through web applications
9. Secure your long-term investment by using Microsoft Navision code base

There's quite a bit out there on, so I'd at least see if there is a potential fit. I do know that there are several educational organizations using this system.
