Inserting logo

By rfriedman ·
I have received from our printer files containing our letterhead with our logo and screen. One is a bitmap file. I want to use this as a backround in e-mails being sent so the e-mails look like our letters. Is this possible? We are using Outlook 97 and Word 97.

Thanks for your help.

Make word your default e-mail editor (Tools, options, mailformat.) In word make a blank document with your logo and save it as a .dot file so that when you
click on file, new in word you will see your
template (.dot) file, and create your emailsfrom that, I know it is a lot of steps initially but it will make that happen for you. Hope this helps.

Further to that: in Tools | Options... | E-mail, where you tell OL97 to use Word, you can specify which template to use.

Alternatively, under Compose you'll find Use Template. This may require you to add this ability to OL97.

Be warned, however, that not everybody will see your email as you created it. For example, their system may present all email as Text-only. Possibly your carefully formatted email may appear as one or more attachments, and that may cause a lot of confusion at the recipient's end.
