Has a corrupt Reg file number c0000218 and I am trying to get files off to do a clean install. I have tried a variety of boot disks including xp and vista install disks. The Xp didn’t see the partition so i couldnt command prompt the vista disk was running like straight butt! It loaded wicked slow and it also wouldnt recognize the partition and it had a load driver option looking for the HDD drivers i guess and i searched and searched nothing worked. I tried using the command prompt that appears if u hit next on that vista screen, but it would lock up when i went to change drive to c: and i played a bit with some diskpart stuff on the X virtual drive but no luck. Anyone know how to fix this thing?
