I have a Dell Inspiron 4000 that needs a motherboard. The motherboard has been replaced by Dell tech before and P/N is 002UH. Dell no longer supports this laptop but told me to use 304MM to replace @ $600. I see 002UH boards cheap on ebay but not sure what I’d be getting into. One vendor states that 1D197 will replace the 002UH without having problems flashing the bios. Is this true? I know the CPU must be swapped, but I don’t know what else is involved. Any advice would be appreciated.
