How do setup an Automatic install of the Client for Microsoft Networks onto Windows 95 machines in a Netware 5.1 environment with the Active Directory snap-ins installed?

download ZEN from novell, and install the snapins. its pretty basic, you install it on one machine, and it will copy and record every file, registry setting, ini, etc.. that is installed on that first machine and allow you to 'push' that image out to ever other machine on your network.

Although a good answer given the amount of details that I provided, sorry, it is not acceptable. I work in a very large environment, over 20,000 workstations and over 150 servers. Of the workstations, there are varying degrees of configurations, including nic cards, that would prevent that kind of installation. Thank you, though.

Although you state that there are varying degress of configuration, which is understandable given the size of your network, can you define the number of different configurations easily? If so, perhaps a utility such as Norton's Ghost might be the answer. Using this you could create a Ghost image of each configuration, and then easily replicate the configs as required. I realise that your response will probably concern the amount of resource required for this, but bear in mind that it will only be intensive when you first create the Ghost images and would save you a great deal of time when compared to having to install each configuration from scratch each time. You could also use Ghost for one 'base' configuration then tailor the machines as required afterwards.

Hope this is useful

A good attempt, but there is no one base configuration that we can use. I am not talking about multiple areas having a different configuration. I am talking about multiple areas with multiple configurations. As yet, the company that I work for has not completed the transfer to a standard hardware configuration. We have opted for the highend labor resolution of touching each PC that has not already had it installed. Thank you for your answers.
