I have a charter school that have been donated about 40 computers from Lockheed. They all have the windows 98 COA on the boxes, but the HDD were wiped clean. I was informed from Microsoft that because the COA is still on there and the are donated to a school, that I should be able to install any OS on these without a hitch. The only problem is, I have no windows 98 CD’s. I think I might have one 2000 CD, but have a few XP cd’s. So I started with the XP ones, but it turns out XP is CD specific with it’s registry keys and I don’t have one XP install CD that is registered to the school. From what I understand you can use any 2000 cd and enter whatever registration key for it. Which is what I need to do as the school does have a registered keys, just no install disks anywhere.
Any ideas on where to get extra install disks or how to handle this?
