I have a Compaq Prosignia 720 server that has a Compaq System I/O System board that has a scsi ribbon cable attached to 2 compaq scsi hard drives and an HP tape drive. I am installing Novell Netware 4.11, doing a custom install. The server was previously in production, so it was working recently.
When I add the hard drive drivers, I get back that the CPQS710.DSK did not load. I have been in contact with Compaq tech support via email and we have tried several different things such as using different drivers. They suggested that I run the diagnostic test for the server and I did so. It did not show the controller card in the results. When the computer boots up, it recognizes the SCSI drives and the tape drive, but not in the Novell Install. Is there a utility or program that I am supposed to run at the c: prompt to make the system recognize the SCSI drives? I am very rusty at all of this, and thank all replies in advance.
