install linux over a network to a laptop

by kyleknicks . Updated 22 years, 5 months ago

(i have a home network that consist of my PC and a laptop connected thru a broadband router)

It’s an older laptop that has a cdrom that seems to be busted, but the floppy works..(not willing to replace).. i would like to install something like knoppix on it maybe using my PC’s cdrom… how would i go about this? maybe a bootdisk that sees my network and my PC..and somehow mount the cd rom drive? and install over the network? i’m confused.. thanks for any input
