You need to use the Sysprep tool which is supplied in the deploy.cab file on the XP CD.
You can customize it with SetupMgr so you can set the product code, admin password, computer name, locale etc

you can use norton ghost to ghost an image. That is provided that the other machines have the same hardware.

Is this a corp. edition of XP or just a one-owner version? XP one user version is only licensed to one computer and should not be installed on any other computers. If it is a corp. version you can install many ways, SMS, Ghost or just go from one computer to the next. MS keeps a record of each installed product and its key so if you try to register a second computer with the same OEM it will fail.

I clone the computers if they are the same or close in hardware and then run sysprep with reseal which will then generate a new sid and run you through a mini setup where you can enter the CD Key for that computer plus a couple of other things. You should then be able to activate XP without a problem. There are a couple of places on the web, including Microsoft, that tell you how to make an image you can use on computers with different hardware but I don't have much experience with that yet.

first you will need to sysprep the machine then ghost it so that the hardware and drivers can be installed on the new system. Make sure that the HAL is the same for both machines or the sysprep and ghosting will fail.
