Install pc3200 windowxp/boot issues

by crazyiven . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

First off I have read the other post on here about the ram issues with no booting to windows. So plz no flames on not reading the other post about the same issue.

Where their questions end my question begins. I have a GA-K8NSC-939 mobo and has AMD 4000+, have been running 1gig running in DDR1 and DDR2 for a long time, with zero problem. There was a sell, picked up 2 more sticks of pc3200 512mb. Installed and it locked up at window screen.I get bunch of odd scrambled lines sometimes. So I booted in safe mode and it loged in. Looking at system info it see the 2gig of ram.

With the the ram 2 sticks are made by differant Co. So I keep them in the same color slots. In the boot up I see that it scans the ram and it says OK, and duel channel is enabled.

After reading with the other issues, i see that nothing is really said after, “are you able to boot in safe”. because I am able to do so, and ram is seen. So is there a conflict in windows? possable driver?
