Install XP over Beta Vista

I need to reinstall XP Pro over my Beta Vista,
even though I am booting to my CD-Rom it will not do it, how can get it to work, do I need to create
a partition if so how?

I've never seen a version of Windows that would allow you to downgrade to a previous version without doing a clean install. If you don't want to do that, you'll need to set up another partition. There are retail partition utilities available, you can search the web for a free utility, or search around here at TR for one of the threads describing how to modify partitions with a Linux boot CD.

Remove Vista then install XP.

You have to remove the Vista software using some kind of tool like "Boot and Nuke", then install XP.

Thanks guys, but I still cannot boot from a CD or disk. I do not get the optiion to press any key to boot from CD- Rom, I have never had this before, even though my CD- Rom is first boot option

Go into your bios

and go to boot options and make sure your cd rom is set as the primary boot device as vista probably set it to the hdd0
