OK! due m recent post i created a network bootdisk to connect to a shre over the net to install win2k over the network.

what i need now is the command line to start the installation.

i have logged in with my username and password.
my share ison a server called (server) and my installation files are also shared ie: \\server\i386
i am at a command line username@pc-blabla x:\NET>


Now! how do i start the installation of win2k?

appart from needing an idiots guide book,i REALLY need a command to start this install.

what shall i type after the x:\NET>

so the command would be x:\NET> ??????????????????

i know i have to launch the winnt from the i386 folder of the share but using command that im familiar with dont do nothing but give me errors. ie bad command, invalid parameter.
so the command line is all i need, or as i said an idiots guide book! this is driving me crazy guys ,c`mon help me out here!

Where does x:\net> map to? If it maps right into the i386 directory, then the command line with prompt should read
x:\net>winnt

But if x:\net maps to the parent of the i386 folder, then the command line with prompt will have to read
x:\net>i386\winnt

If you've got some other strange file structure going on, then you'll have to find where the winnt.exe is within the share. From the x:\net> prompt, enter 'dir /s winnt.exe and if found, you'll see the path to the executable, and you preceed the command winnt with the appropriate path.
