    installation error

    Hi,
    while installing linux on my pc, i got out of frequency error.my monotor is samsumg
    Give me the solution how to set the frequency of monitor to compatable for linux.

      What Linux are you trying to install (Which distribution, version)? Most Distributions have their own installation program during which at some point you can tell the system what graphics card and monitor you are using. You will need some more info than just “Samsumg” though. there are different models and most have different technical details. Normally during the installation process the system gets to the place where you can select the graphics configuration of your system. Here in most cases you have some general monitors you can choose from. If your “Samsumg” is a normal tft monitor, it is probably best to select a monitor with the following values: 1024×768 @ 60 Hz. Most tft Displays work well with 60 herz. If it is a CRT Monitor you should select a higher value, maybe around 75 Herz. You have to check what the monitor can support, though.
