Installation of AGP Video Windows 98

I install a Diamond Video card on a Soyo 6vba motherboard. It was working correctly before I had to format C drive. Now all I get is the Beep beep from the motherboard saying it cannot find a video card. Yes, I have installed the AGP by Soyo specs and it will not work.. Any suggestions??

Might I ask why you had to format the C drive?

There is something here going on that is not directly related to re-formatting the hard drive. If the motherboard is so confused that it can only generate POST beeps, then something terrible has probably happened to your CMOS configuration. I think I would try re-setting the CMOS by either using the CMOS reset jumper or by removing the battery for awhile.

If that doesn’t get you past the beeps, then it could be a card or memory module that is not seated or it could be a hardware failure of the motherboard, video card or memory.
