installation problem to installing redhat linux

i can't install linux on my sata hdd.though i have enough space on my hard disk.but when i am installing linux on my computer there is coming a error messagge "No hard drives found automatically".

What version of Redhat are we talking about here?

Red Hat Version?

I'll give odds that it's Red Hat Linux 9, since most people have no problem thinking a 10 year old version of linux is still good on new hardware, when they would NEVER do that with windows and expect it to work.

Does your system have a raid controller?

If so, you will need to use a boottime loadable driver for it.
