Hi,
Apparently I have Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
I have installed oracle 8.1.7, but unfortunately
Oracle does not start up automatically.
After the system Boots, the oracle services start but Oracle does not mount.
Thus giving an Oracle Not Available Error.
Further more.. The Windows 2000 Advanced Server is also having Active Directory installed. I presume this is causing the havoc..
I conducted some tests of Installing oracle 8.1.7 on Windows 2000 without Active Directory and it works just perfect.
After installation of Active Directory , Oracle does not start automatically.
