Installed XP Pro alongside XP Home and lost ethernet controller

I just installed XP Pro on two identical XP Home machines. These EMachines (T325?)were purchased approx. 3 years ago with XP Home. Due to network considerations, these are being upgraded.
When Pro installation completed there were no ethernet controllers installed and I cannot connect them to the domain based network.
Any and all help would be really appreciated.
