I’m working on only my third PC build and have run into a snag. On an
Asus Motherboard I am trying to install a SATA HD and two DVD-RW
drives. I’m trying to install the DVD-RW drives on a single IDE ribbon
cable. When booting the PC the system recongizes the presence of the
two DVD drives, but they do not appear once entering the BIOS. I don’t
know if I have the Master/Slave configuration with the DVD drives
confused, or if there is some kind of conflict with the SATA HD, the
truth is I’m in the dark right now on this one. Any info would be great.
If more detail is needed I’ll be happy to provide it. I’m just looking for
any suggestion on what I could go about doing in terms of installation
and configuration. Thanks. (P.S. – be kind to the newbie)
