Attempting to install OpenOffice2.0 on Windows 98 Second Edition. The setup indicates a new version of Windows Installer is needed. Verified that the latest version for Windows 98 has been installed. System shows this, however, when retrying to install OO2.0, still get an indication that an updated installer is needed. Get a indication that the service already exists, but next indication is (setup cannot find the file “.)
Any suggestions on what the file might be. This is the first time this issue has arose here. All other Windows 98 installs have gone well. Even tried the latest OO2.0 install, which gave same errors.
Any help greatly appreciated.
