A very short answer: nope. And I've done quite a few by now.

However, to be safe look at support.novell.com, there are a few post-nw51sp3 issues you might want to read about first. There is also a post-sp3 patch for NDPS issues.

I did. After installing SP3 my DS kept on locking all the time when dsrepair was run on unattended. Involved Novell support and they couldn't find out what was happening. We applied new DS.nlm, new dsrepair.nlm, etc. Curious thing was that it only affected one server. My other Novell servers were able to run perfectly. So it was decided that it must have been a hardware issue. Unfortunately the server had a catasthropic failure and I had to recuperate everything from backup tapes. I reinstalled SP3 after that and it never gave the problem again. So it couldn't have been the hardware. Bad download of SP3? Bad installation of sp3? Can't pinpoint why it happened but make sure you have a good backup of your volumes and make a dump of your ds and copy it somewhere else.

I just ran this the other night on 2 servers had no real issues although at times it was slow and seemed the install was locking up but eventually everything installed without a problem. Make sure you apply post SP3 patches I installed them in thisorder...
