While trying to install windows 95 or 98, The computer will hang at the screen that says “Copying files needed for windows setup” I have swapped out the video card, hard drive and the ribbon, and the memory. I have no other card in the computer, I have even removed the cdrom. The only thing left is a video card, floppy, and hard drive. Still the same problem. I have also reseated the CPU. It is an intel 233 MMX on a common Matsonic motherboard. The computer started having problems booting into windows 98, it would just hang. I decided to reload, and came up with this problem. Can anyone help?
