Insufficient rights to install.....

By obi_duru ·
I have a network with a BDC at each remote location. While trying to install Netop Remote Control in one of the BDC's, it gave the message "Insufficient right to install the Netop, log out and log n as the administrator...". Now I'm logged in as theDomain Administrator, and I have installed this same Utility in some other servers. The question is; what could cause the error, and how do i rectify it.

The problem you are having can be that there are some problems with rights on the file system or the registry. Try opening the registry remotely, if you can't check the rights. But if you are allowed, check rights on the file system files. An other possibility is that there is a slow wan link, that messed up synchronisation. Try to sync from that particulair BDC.

You should add yourself to Administrators
group on the BDC. If you are logging as Domain Administrator add this account to the Administrators local group on BDC as well.

Good Luck
