Hi all…this really isn’t my area of expertise (indeed knowledge at all), as I’m sure the following will illustrate, but I’m in desperate need of help:
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 notebook…nothing fancy, but used really only for internet and assignments. I have Vista home basic.
Anyway, it’s not going so well and after doing all the checks I know of (not many), I found that apparently the ‘Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver’ is upsetting it and I think it’s interfering with windows generally…speedwise, I think.
From my unimpressive research this morning, I gather that this relates to many things, but perhaps specifically the printer ???…or not??? I had problems installing the printer software and had to repeat a few times. At the same time as having difficulties with the printer, I was also often getting messages about the USB port and the computer wanting drivers or software or something for it. So now (though slightly better after the defrag and obviously more RAM would help), it takes a long time swapping between applications and sometimes it freezes or the screen blacks out momentarily.
So in short, help??? Is this just an update I can download or something or does it need surgery? I only bought it about 3 months ago…
Sorry to bother with probably silly questions…just thought I could save money I don’t have by fixing it myself!
