Intel webcamera for windows 98

By ericekb ·
I have recently bought a webcamera for my laptop after plugging it in and attempting to install it a message appeared telling me the correct driver was not found or that I need to update my driver. What should I do and if going to download a compatible driver what steps do I take?

Start at Intel's web page:

Select your camera model and follow the links to drivers and support information.

Make sure that your USB port is enabled, and the chip-set drivers for your motherboard are installed.

You can check both in the Device Manager section of System Properties.
Either click on System in Control Panel, or right click on My Computer and select Properties.
