Inter office communication

I am looking for a way for users within an office to message each other. I do not want to use MSN or Yahoo or any of the other chat programs. I need something that only runs within the office. Netsend is not quite interactive enough, I need something where the user doesn’t need to open his own command prompt to reply.
Thanks,

Mike
