We use a small (seven nodes) peer to peer network. Machines run Windows 98, Windows ME, and one with Windows 2000. I would like to set up the ability to send memos (email) to each computer on the network. We currently run Outlook 2000 but it is onlyon the Windows 2000 machine. Is there any way I can do this?

You did not say if your lan is connected to the internet.

If it is, put Outlook Express on each machine, give each person a (free) Hotmail account, and you have it.

If your lan is not connected to the internet you could find a mail server program (a POP/SMTP server) and install it on one machine. This machine then becomes the mail server for your network. Outlook Express one each client would allow each user to send and receive mail. Look at www.tucows.com for various shareware programs.

Good luck.

I wud recommend a shareware mail program ( Pegasus, Eudora etc ) and install it one the Win 2000 machine that has Outlook. This way that machine becomes ur mail server. E-mails can then be send to PC on the network ..... however not to the outside unless u have a connection to internet. If u do, then jus setup web based mail addy's and install a client messaging system .... Outlook Express is nice n easy. Configure it for sending/rec mails that way.
Choice is urs. Hope it helps!!!
