Interact with the OS via WMI

By MaryWeilage Editor ·
This week's .NET newsletter explains how you can interact with the operating system via Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) services.

Have you utilized WMI in any .NET application or plan to for future projects? If so, how would you compare it to past development without WMI?

Hi,
Thanks for the nice article. We have already planned to use WMI for health checking of the product we are developing. It's a new .NET based system. As per our plan, we'll keep watching various aspects of the running product, and raise alarm when something wrong is going to happen. We are exploring it right now. Similar articles, references and suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
RATAN
