INTERCHANGE SCSI HARDDISK

CAN ANY BODY HELP ME!

I HAVE QUANTUM LUCENT 3 SCSI HARDISK BUT MY SCSI IDE #0 IS HAVING TRACK 0 BAD WHO DO I INTERCHANGE MY SCSI IDE#1 AS IDE#0. I HAVE ONLY ONE ARRAY AND RAID5.

Do you mean change the SCSI id on your device 1 to device 0, its either jumpers or dip switches on the drive.

DON'T! DO go out and get a replacement hard drive! if drive 1 is in the array, and you move it, you're toast!

Get another drive, put it in, in place of disk ID #0.. Fastest, most reliable, and effective!

IF YOU MUST PUT #1 in #0, get another drive. replace #1 with new drive, rebuild array. shutdown, and replace #0 with Old #1, then rebuild array. extra work, and not really worth it! (But, if you can "borrow" a drive, you can do this, + replace "new drive #1" with old #0 and rebuild array.)
