Interdev Stored Procedures

By sweber ·
I am doing extensive database querying through Interdev and its resources. I need to start using the Stored Procedure items, but all information on creating them say to "use the Data View and right-click on the Stored Procedure heading, and select New Stored Procedure."

The problem is this: There is no Stored Procedure heading. All I have is Tables and Views. I would like to know how to get that on the tab, or at least how to create the procedure. Coding the procedure by hand is acceptable, as is editing the database.

Interdev Stored Procedures

You didn't say which product you were using so my answers fit Microsoft's database products (specifically Access and SQL Server)

In Access one can use drag and drop to quickly construct complex queries (in Query Design View) and once everything is working as requires they can switch to SQL View by selecting the menu options View | SQL View.

merely cut and paste the sql code anywhere needed and/or with a little maintenance change it to a SQL Server stored procedure.

Was your "front-end"constructed with VB or using Access. If you used Access find everything above where your "Stored Procedures" are saved under the "Queries" tab.

I guess I hadn't approached the problem from the right side before I posted. My problem wasn't the database or the access routine, it was taking the data from my query and putting it into my form. Sorry for the inconveniance.
