Intermittent Login Error

Hello All.

Having a problem on a handful of 98 machines. We have a mixed bag of 98 and 2000 clients (mostly 98), with two win2k servers (1 as anti-virus control, 1 as accounting program machine, both running active directory) as well as a Netware4.2 server.

Problem is as follows: When logging into some of the 98 machines we get a “no domain server could be contacted…” error. We hit cancel, then try to login again, and it proceeds without a problem. The clients have the usual network settings:

Client for MS Networks
Client for Netware Networks
Dial up adapter
Linksys 10-100TX
IPX/SPX
TCP/IP

This seems to be random.
