Intermittent Wi-Fi Disconnects on Windows 11 After May 2025 Update
Dear TechRepublic Community,
I’m experiencing intermittent Wi-Fi disconnects on my Windows 11 Pro (build 24H2, KB5037862, May 2025) laptop (Dell XPS 13 9315, Intel Core i7-1250U). The Wi-Fi drops every 10-20 minutes, showing “No Internet, Secured.” Reconnecting via Network Settings temporarily resolves it. Router: TP-Link Archer AX50, 5GHz, WPA3.
System Info:
OS: Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit, version 24H2
Network Adapter: Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211, driver v23.30.0.6 (Feb 2025)
BIOS: Dell v1.12.0 (Mar 2025)
Antivirus: Windows Defender, up-to-date
Environment: Edge 126, no VPN, home network
Steps Tried:Updated Wi-Fi driver from Intel’s site.
Ran Network Troubleshooter: “Windows can’t communicate with the device or resource.”
Reset network settings (netsh winsock reset, ipconfig /flushdns).
Disabled power-saving for Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager.
Switched to 2.4GHz band; issue persists.
Tested on another network; same disconnects.
Checked Event Viewer: “WLAN-AutoConfig Event ID 4001” at disconnects.
Could this be a Windows update bug or driver conflict? Any tips for deeper diagnostics or fixes? Your expertise is much appreciated! 😊Best,
Darshan
