Internal hard disk drive not found

I need a your suggestion to solve system problem.
When i am trying to start the system (Dell inspiron 6000 laptop..)
displaying internal hard disk drive not found.
Internal HDD HARD Error!
I was told my Hard drive was bad.I bought a new one.I have replaced with new hdd.Still i m getting the same problem..
Please suggest me how to resolve the problem..

Access the BIOS and see if it sees the HD

Most likely the CMOS battery got discharged and the system BIOS lost its configuration. I've seen this happen on older laptops. I'm not sure what the key is to access the BIOS, but during the POST process, you should see something on the screen that says "Push ??? to access setup" where the ??? can be F1, F2, Esc, F10, or some other key.

Try updating the system BIOS, this can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. Usually it will involve creating a boot-disk (floppy/usb) and running the update from there.
