I was hoping someone might be able to give me some general advice about internal versus external hardware devices (e.g., hard drives, zip drives, CD-RW drives, modems, etc.). Which do you think is better to do — buy internal or external — any why? Personally, I tend to prefer external, for several reasons. (1) You don’t have to pay to have them installed. (2) When your computer becomes obsolete, you can quickly and easily connect them to the new replacement model you buy. (3) They are mobile devices.
