I have win 2000 server, and 1 win 2000 computer with 1 win 98se computer on a lan. All was working fine. I tried setting up internet sharing using both modem sharing and with routing and remote access. Neither worked. The network is fine but there is no response when attempting to access the web. Now after all the messing around, I can not access the modem on the server from Explorer it just says the modem is not connected. Funny thing is I can access it using other programs like a dialer and Quicken. I’ve tired many things even put in another modem, changed com ports, looked for conflicts, etc. I’ve run out of ideas. I think it must be something in the explorer setup files – I’ve reloaded the program even reloaded win 2000 with nochange.
