What is the best RAID for a backup server? The backup will be done over the internet to a HP Proliant DL380 Dual P4 2.8GHz Xeon, with about 1 – 2tb of space (hotswap drives).
Should I have two drives in the main server mirror each other, then setup another server offsite that mirror the main server? That way if a drive in my main server crash, I can make the slave drive the master until the master is replace. But also, if the main server crashes, I still have the mirror server to us.
