My Service uses a post-dial-up terminal window,a customer types in one or two letters of his Username and it goes no further.He is also connected up with Compu- serve and has no problem connecting. I think that at some point the echo is turned off and that is why he is not able to proceed. WHY?? I’ve checked numerous settings and had him update his modem.His modem is a Motorola SM56k that came with his Gateway ASTRO.
