Internet Connection– (Comcast Xfinity)

Cable guy came yesterday and hooked up cable & left w/o the internet working. Status lights on modem signal everything is good. Arris tech said modem shows to be working (Surfboard) and I connected with modem to reset with Arris tech. Comcast says signal is showing it’s good Wifi signal is strong and can be detected by phones/laptop but no internet is available. When I connect to the modem with a cable it says the internet is connected but it’s not available. Comcast tech thought it was a problem with my Ethernet cable or port because ipconfig/release says that media is disconnected. Checked at work today, both function properly. House gets little/no cell service so troubleshooting is going to be difficult. Any ideas of what I should try in the meantime?
