Internet connection sharering, how to ?

Hello my name is Francisco I used to have SBC Dsl and since I've moved I can Only get Verizon Dsl, costumer service here sucks I can't get to talk to anyone to help me set up my home network, so the problem is this I want to know how do file share so I can see the PC connected to the network and from there how to share my Dsl Connection please help thank's very much.

The easiest way to get DSL on both (or more) systems would be to get a hub and more LAN cables. This will work if you log into your DSL. If your DSL provider gave you a IP address, or computer name, then it would be best to get a router and a hub.

buy a router with a 4 port switch. Linksys, D-Link, Netgear. The router will handle NAT so you don't have to run ICS which means the computer you run ICS on has to be running for other computers to gain internet access.

As CG IT said, 4 port router, not just a hub. A router will create local IP addresses for all the computers on your network so you won't have to talk to Verizon about buying additional IP addresses or configuring anything afterwards.
