Internet Explorer

By mikeadams1137 ·
Here's the situation...He can browse websites, ping all the websites, has internet, is not firewalled. Not a hardware problem, however; there are some websites he cannot log into. He can go to the main page on some and then log-in fine, then on others he goes to the main page clicks login, and it gives the

"Cannot connect to website, please check to see you are on internet, security, bla bla..we all know this screen"

Now, the websites can be viewed from other computers! Clearly It has to be an IE Windows setting, what it is I am not sure. The IE reads about being 128 bit, SSL 1.0, SSL 2.0, TLS 1.0 are all enabled. Anyone know what might be causing this?

profile

If the computer is part of the network, then the user profile is stored on the server and has a restriction to access these sights. Therefore to narrow down the problem you need to log on to the pc in question, delete the users profile and then get the user to log on.This downloads a brand new copy of the profile from the server. If the problem persists, then it is obviously an account restriction. If it is a personel computer, create a new account and test it.If it resolves the problem, transfer the users data over and delete the old profile. If the new profile does not correct the problem then try reinstalling ie.
