    Internet Explorer

    i have 2 computers on the network where i do not want them to use the internet or to go to other sites where i only want them oto go to certain sites only. is there i way on the internet explorer i can set only to allow the user to go to sites which are allowd and if they try to go to other sites it restricts them. ?

        this is a pay option but i beleive there is a option on the internet exlprer that u can specify with passwrd protection on which sites to go.

      I believe you are talking about IE’s Content advisor. In Internet Options, click on the “Content” tab. Click “Enable” then you will be given options to setup and you will have to specify a password. It’s not the best option out there, but it is free.
      Here’s another free option called “Parental Filtr”

      I agree with answer #2 from bmedlock. Open IE, goto Help and choose Contents and Index. The help iformation provided by Microsoft is fairly robust for the use of Content Advisor. You can also install SP2 and use the Windows Firewall in the security center (which is free).

      if users not too saavy and just 2 computers, what about using the hosts file? i believe you could use wildcards, not sure…
