Internet explorer 6.0 toolbars

i can not access or show the address bar or link bar in internet explorer 6.0 i reset all websettings and defaults under the advanced tab, but still nothing. i tried to just drag them down and again still can not get to them. i even tried installingthe latest service pack.
what can be the problem and how can i fix it ??
please help.
