Internet Explorer

I have a strange effect which has been going on for some time. When I load a web page, my web browser locks up once the page has loaded for about 15 seconds. It then allows me to
continue navigating with links or scrolling down the page. I thought I had a virus but nothing has showed up and I also checked what was going on using
the task manager and looking at processes but I couldn’t see anything
parasitic.
