Internet Explorer and Pictures

By BorgInva ·
On various flavors of Windows, pictures displayed in IE sometimes shows larger than the screen can handle (my pics are 3000x in resolution) but on some other PCs the show a viewable picture, as Firefox does. All my PCs are XPSP2. One PC in IE shows pictures at a viewable size. Another does not and both IE settings are the same for the one that says "Enable Automatic Image Resizing".
Any idea how to get IE to display images in a viewable size?

I would look for the following registry key and see if the actually value you want (YES or NO) is inserted.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
Value Name: Enable AutoImageResize
Value Data: Yes or No

Sorry but it is a yes in there.
I am actually now using a program to convert the images to smaller sizes to help viewing. Advance JPEG Compressor.
